Oh, the blogging has begun. This was the first image that came to mind when asked to create this blog. Something about the self-empowerment, competence, confidence, and sense of unity that this post icon has most likely brought to so many of us. I've felt some anxiety about posting, sharing, and creating this blog as an assignment for a community work course in my second year as a master's student in social work. Something I started to do last year as a tool for focus, meditation, and sense of grounding when days felt overwhelming and out of balance was pull a card, flip to a page, or find some sort of affirmation for my day from various affirmation cards and meditation books . Some days required more than one. Over the summer I searched for guided meditations not only for myself but also to have as tool for future work with clients and groups. I bought this little book on 1,001 meditations not knowing exactly what it's purpose or usefulness would be. I think it will find itself in my blog, and I will start all my posts by adding a word or quote to bring about thought, peace, love, unity and joy to all.

Imperfections- "I do not seek perfection-only to do the best that I can. If others do better, I will admire them without envy while trying to do better myself." ~1,001 Meditations, Mike George
